The walk is nearly here. Here’s where we are and how you can help.

This October, the PDQ IT Support team are lacing up their boots and walking 100 miles for St Luke’s Hospice Basildon. We announced the challenge a few months ago, training has been happening (some more enthusiastically than others), and the walk is now just weeks away.
We wanted to give an honest update on where things stand, say thank you to everyone who has already donated, and make one last ask to anyone who hasn’t yet.
Where we are right now

Twenty-nine percent of the way there. We’re proud of that, and genuinely grateful to the businesses and individuals who have donated so far. But there’s still £2,120 to raise, and the clock is ticking.
Why St Luke’s
St Luke’s Hospice Basildon provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people across the district. Expert medical care, family support, therapeutic services — all of it, completely free of charge. They are funded entirely by donations from the community they serve.
“From spa therapies to compassionate care, St Luke’s is here for the Basildon community. When it’s needed most.”
PDQ has been part of this community for years. Many of us have seen firsthand what St Luke’s means to local families at the hardest moments of their lives. That’s why we chose them. Not because we needed a cause, but because this one matters to us personally.

One Final Push
With the walk now just weeks away, this is our last chance to close the gap. If you’ve been meaning to donate, now is the time. Even a small amount makes a real difference to a charity that receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of people like you.
You can donate directly through our JustGiving page in under two minutes. Every penny goes to St Luke’s.
And if you’ve already donated: thank you. More than we can say.
